Go Find It!

TGIF first of all! I actually had a fun day at work today. It doesn't happen much but it did and that's good. Anyway I decided to give this polish a go today. I hadn't tried any from this brand yet and I'm glad I bought some because this was awesome.

New York Summer Poppies. (Poppies is the name of the color)

In the sun.

In the shade.

I love purples so this was definitely a winner. It's so shiny and bright and just beautiful. I'm really happy with this one.

I just got myself this little polish a lot of people are going nuts over. It's called Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure. I put it over my purple polish and WOW! WOW! If you find it, GET IT!

Look!

I promise you need this. It looks incredible in real life. You will stare at your nails forever. LOL

Thursday Blue/Purple.

So I decided to use a dupe of the polish I used yesterday. They're pretty similar but this is a bit more blue and muted. I like this one better. This is what I wanted Maybelline Hip Huggers to be.
Though in these pics they look almost identical, they're not in real life.

Chi In Between The Sheets.

2 coats, applied so smoothly. Love it :)

Hump Day!

It's all downhill from here. That's actually a good thing right...closer to the weekend. LOL

Today me and my friend Aquilah did matching nails. We both wanted this polish for a while and she was finally able to track it down. YAY! Though I really like this one, I didn't know it was going to be as purple as it is. I thought it would have more blue in it but that's just fine. I like it anyway.

Maybelline Hip Huggers (with decal).

In the shade with flash.

By the window, no sun though.

So this is a discontinued color but there's supposedly a dupe. We'll see tomorrow since I'll be using that!

I Knew I'd Love It.

I've been wanting this polish for a long time. I finally got it last week and here it is. It didn't disappoint me at all. I love, love, love it! I can't have too many taupe polishes (or eye shadows).
I was going to add a decal but then decided I wanted to just enjoy the color on it's own.

Lippmann Waking Up In Vegas.

In the shade.

In the sun.

It was everything I wanted it to be. Opaque, easy to apply, creamy and the perfect taupe with a tiny bit of gray in it. It's love.

Pretty Polish, Yucky Day.

Mondays are so not fun. And rainy Mondays are even worse! I picked this polish to cheer me up a bit because my other choice was something too dark.

American Apparel Dynasty (and decal).

In the shade with flash.

By the window without flash.

I like it. I'm liking these American Apparel polishes a lot. They go on smooth and easy.

:)

Peace.

Barielle A Bouquet For Ava.

Added Konad image plate M17 with Konad special polish in white.

This is a darker teal in real life. I think the flash washed it out a bit. Nice application. Went on really smoothly.

:)

**Update...taking this off was a huge pain in the butt!!! Stained my hands like crazy!!!!

Saturday, April 24, 2010

Ahhh Saturday!!

When I got this polish I thought it looked interesting in the store and today when I pulled it out to use, I said to myself "oh no what was I thinking?" but then when I applied it, it wasn't so bad. At least I don't think so.

American Apparel Palm Springs.

In the shade.

In partial sun.

The first coat of this was a streaky mess. Second coat made it all better. Creamy and pretty...to me. Why do they call this Palm Springs?

I had to Konad over it. I try to Konad at least once a week. This is image plate M70 with Konad special polish in black. Cleanup was annoying and no top coat because it smears like crazy. I need to try the Konad top coat.

Little Hauls.

I couldn't resist the Sephora 15% off code recently so I got a few things. I actually made two orders (oops) but my 2nd order hasn't shipped yet.

My favorite lipstick; TheBalm Letter to The Editor. Then because you can never have too many lip balms; Cake Beauty Cake Kiss Lemon Chiffon Lip Butter. And of course no order can be complete without some polish. These were on sale for $5. The colors are Three Way Mirror and Can U Keep A Secret?

Then because IDK why (I know why...because I wanted to that's why LOL) I ordered this from Lippmanncollection.com.

Polishes in Between the Sheets and Waking Up In Vegas (wanted this one a lot!!!), and a couple of samples thrown in there. I'm interested in trying out that Stripper to go lacquer remover mitts.

Nothing like retail therapy right?

It's Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day everyone. Are you guys gonna do the Zoya Polish Exchange thingie? I'm thinking about it but don't know which polishes I want. LOL

I went green today with Nubar Reclaim.

In the shade.

In the sun.

Gorgeous holographic polish. I love this green shade too. The application was so easy, this polish is just amazing quality.

Decided on a little bit of Konading too. Image plate M35 with Konad black polish.

Subtle and Neutral.

I had planned on using a really colorful, glitter polish from Zoya today but I remembered I had to go somewhere where I needed to be more subtle so I used this polish I just bought on Sunday.

Revlon Gray Suede.

No sun here today so this is the best I could do. It's a little bit darker in real life. I do really like this. Great consistency. :)

Love It!

Wow I had no idea when I bought this polish that I was going to love it. I picked it up because Ulta was having a buy 2 get one free sale so this was my third choice.

Piggy Polish Silver Scream.

In the sun.

In the shade.

So the reason I love this polish is because it has the same consistency and finish as the OPI suedes. I had no idea this was going to be like this. I expected just a regular silver polish. It's also got a tiny bit of taupe in it which always draws me in. So there's no top coat on this. I love this finish.

Smells Good!

You know what I love? A yummy smelling room. I just got an order from
Nene's Kitchen Melts.

She has these really amazing little wax tarts/melts. I use an electric warmer to melt mine. The scents are very powerful and last a really long time.

The one I was melting there was Coconut Mango. And all those other little containers were the rest of my order. I usually go for bakery scented things like apple pie, birthday cake, cookies and things like that but this time I think I got a lot of fruity and sweet things.

In this order I got guava & pink grapefruit, mango sorbet, watermelon sorbet, citrus cilantro, peppercorn berry, sugar champagne, lime basil mandarin (didn't like this one), tuscan melon & apricot, pink sugared cherries, cabana boy, nectarine blossom & honey, and my two faves; I love cake and cotton candy cake (OMG!!!) Don't they sound delicious?

Smells really good in here!

Happy Weekend.

American Apparel Peacock.
In the sun.

Two coats. I think this looks a little more teal in real life.

Added Konad Image plate M69 in silver and then used Essie Matte About You top coat.

I think I like the regular un-mattified version better.

Not In The Mood.

I wasn't in the mood to do my nails so I used this.

Rimmel Cafe Au Lait.

Later I decided I wanted to see what this Konad image looked like, and the Konad polish too...in brown. I think it would've looked nice w/ more color in the spots.

Konad Image Plate M81, brown princess polish.

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Um Yeah.

LOL I am so not creative with titles.

Zoya Jo.

In the shade.

In the sun....very very sunny!

This was actually a bit more purple. I wanted to Konad but didn't get to it. Next time ;)

Glad To Be Green.

Now this is a green I can definitely say I like! I picked this up on a whim. It was sitting there by itself on clearance. I'm so glad I got it.

Maybelline Glad To Be Green.

It was cloudy and raining yesterday so I could only get a picture in the shade. 2 coats, a tiny bit of brown in it. This is nice right?

:)

Ugly or Not?

I can't decide if I find this color ugly or not. What do you think?

Creamy light green with glitter. I do like the glitter in this.

Back on the Wagon??

I really really really need to get back on the fitness/workout/health wagon. Seriously!
About a month ago I was doing the Insanity Workouts with a friend and then IDK what happened. Maybe we burned out or IDK but we stopped the workouts and I stopped working out altogether. :(

So yesterday I finally did something active. I worked out after almost a month of doing absolutely nothing. It might have also been the fact that it was such a nice day and I wore shorts and I felt so out of shape.

And just because ...here are some old pics of my workout room. My husband help me put this all together. Including the awesome cushioned floor.

Click on the pic for full view.

YAY It's the Weekend!!

What a long week!

Yesterday's polish was Rescue Beauty Lounge Mismas.

In the shade.

In the sun.

WOW!! This polish was exactly what I love in a polish. One coat!!! Easy to apply and gorgeous purple-y creme!

Red.

I'm not sure why but I don't usually do red on my nails. I do it on my toes but not on my nails. I had this red sitting there untried like many of my polishes. Good time to give it a try.

Icing Passion.

I believe this was by the window. No sun though.

And this one was in the shade.

I like it. A simple matte red. I went on smoothly. No issues here. I should try it with a top coat next time and see what it looks like all shiny.

:)

I'm Crazy!

I can't believe I've owned this polish for months and hadn't even tested it out once. I mean I took the wrapper off yesterday when I finally decided to use it.

Oh and when this one first came out and sold out super fast, I waited and waited and finally got it and there it sat forever...how crazy. LOL

This is Sephora by OPI 212. It's a strange color, with glitter and flakes. I don't really know what color this is really. LOL My husband grabbed my hand and asked "what's this called?" I said "212" He said "is that how many colors are in it?" Cute!!

In the shade.

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

Huh?

LOL I didn't know what to title this post.

So yesterday I used a polish I've had for a couple of months. I always wanted to try these out and I finally caved and got myself some.

Nfu-Oh 63.

In the shade.

In the sun.

I was sort of disappointed with this one. Don't get me wrong, the color and it's holo-ness are fab but the application was horrible!!! I first applied it over my usual base coat; Nailtek II intensive therapy and Nailtek foundation II. I had to remove it all and only use the Nailtek II Intensive therapy...that didn't work either so I had to remove it again. I decided to just put it straight on my bare nails. Next time I'm going to try a different base coat. I just didn't have the time yesterday. Anyway it was a bit streaky. I did two coats. I added a decal cause it needed it in that spot! LOL

I Never Meant to Cause You Any Sorrow....

I never meant to cause you any pain
I only wanted to one time see you laughing
I only wanted to see you laughing in the purple rain

Purple rain, purple rain....
LOL I love Prince. That's part of the reason I wanted this polish.

Nars Purple Rain. I also love purples so I had to have this. LOL It's been sitting in my untrieds drawer for a long long time. About time it got some love.

In the sun.

In the shade.

Love this!!!!
